What we do
Design Projects
Full Makeover
This includes an update for everything in your space: flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting and electrical, paint, tile work, furnishings, décor, fabrics, window treatments, and rugs.
These projects are going to take about 6-9 months from start to finish, depending, of course, on the details of what we're doing for you. Budget planning on the roughest level imaginable (obviously we don't know what you want to do yet), but we'd suggest planning for approximately $25,000 per room as a rough budget. Light Makeover
This includes an update for the surface items in your space: furnishings, décor, window treatments, rugs, lamps, and paint, etc. (Not changing out flooring, plumbing, or built-in features.)
These projects (again, depending on the specific work scope), can be completed in as little as 3 months, but average closer to 4-6 months from start to finish.
We suggest a rough budget of $15,000 per room for this type of project.
The Process
Every project follows a set process.
It's easy to think that because everyone's project is unique, they will all be handled a little differently. While that's somewhat true, the reality is that we need to follow a process to ensure we get the best results and everyone goes home happy!
We have a whole page outlining the details of our process, so feel free to check that out, but here it is in brief:
- Contact us via our form on this website, or by email or text. Contact info is at the bottom of this page.
- Phone call: We'll reach out to you to discuss your project and see if we can help.
- Consultation: We'll meet for a working consultation to see the issues, hear your wish list, and help you out right away with some advice.
- Sign and date: If we're going to do a project together, we'll sign an agreement to outline everyone's responsibilities.
- Trade Day: We'll collect measurement details and bring in trades for service quotes.
- Design Plan Development: We'll need several weeks to pin down specifics for your design, including the exact items to use and a full and accurate budget for products and installation costs.
- Presentation: We'll show you our ideas, what they cost, and discuss any changes you want.
- Procurement: We'll order the products needed for your project and begin scheduling trades for work.
- Prep: Before we can decorate, we need to get the space ready with any paint, flooring, or other foundation work.
- Installation: We'll setup all the furniture, hang the art, and place the décor.
- Cleanup and Photos: We'll have a professional cleaning crew make your new space spotless, and we'll have a professional photographer capture the after photos.
- Reveal: Finally, we will present your new, amazing space to you. (Cue the oohs and ahhs!!)
- Lucky number 13: Any lingering issues and touchup needs will be handled.
As you can see, this process isn't as simple as picking out a few things to decorate a room.
Design projects are a big investment of money and time, with a ton of details to work out along the way. Plan for a few months from start to finish, at minimum. If your project is especially large, it may be broken into phases and extend even longer. Rest assured, though, that the process we follow is tried and true (passed down from our designer mentor with decades of experience!), and will give you an incredible, turnkey result. With so many pieces to the puzzle, you'll be glad to have us there to put it together!
A La Carte Services
PAINT COLOR SELECTION
So, you want to change the feel of the place, but need help deciding between all those shades of gray? No problem. This is one of our strongest skills!
Choosing colors that hit the right note and give your space the fresh feel you've been dying for is one of our specialties. We've never had a customer dislike a color we chose for them; in fact, over the course of the project, our clients continue gushing over how perfect their new colors are! So if you want to be sure your investment is going to pay off, let us help you with color selection.
This service begins with a quick phone call, then a home visit. We'll bring fan decks and color swatches along to work out an initial "favorites" list. After the appointment, we'll order larger sizes of top contenders and then head back to your house to make the final selections.
If you need a referral for painters, we can offer our experience as guidance, but you're under no obligation to work with our preferred pros.
$125 per hour, 2 hour minimum Service includes large color samples of potential and final selections
WALL DECORATING & ACCESSORIZING
Not sure where to place wall art and family photos? Or what to put on your shelves? Not sure where to even find art and décor? You're not alone- this is a common request. We can help give your home the character it's missing.
We'll start with a phone call to make sure what you want is the sort of thing we can help with, and if we're a good fit for your project, we'll schedule a consultation for a more in-depth assessment of the project.
Consultations are $450 and last up to 2 hours. We offer a good deal of suggestions and ideas during these visits and leave the client with detailed notes about what was discussed. At the consultation we can provide an estimate for accessorizing your space, depending on the extent of the work and quality of products you prefer.
